![]() ![]() u tried it on the mill and just had it cut air.but the above happens.the backplot actually looked the same but i didnt realize what was happening.i made a copy of the post so as not to ruin a perfectly working 3 axis post. It looks like there are some settings missing based on what i saw in another post for 4 and 5 axis ![]() MachineConfiguration = new MachineConfiguration(aAxis) CADCAM Tutorial using SolidWorks Mach3 CNC Pano Central 133 subscribers Subscribe 189 Share 33K views 5 years ago This video demonstrate the steps starting from developing a 3D model in. i think it has something to do with the axis settings. then the a axis indexed 120deg.but the z axis went down and to the right of the a axis.and the z was doing+- moves to do the circular interpolation.instead of staying at the 12oclock position.and having the x and y do the pocket. it was 3 small flat spots spaced equally around an aluminum shaft to prep for spot and driling.the first 2d pocket was ok(which was at the top 0degree position). I was able to get the fourth axis indexing what looks like properly. ![]()
